Meet The Mudita Yoga Therapy in the New Orleans Healing Center

We are a community yoga studio. Mudita translates to empathetic joy, delighting in another’s well-being. Yoga is classically a practice of transformation philosophically, scientifically, and artistically. Our teachers are extremely educated and provide a high level of care and attentiveness to our students. We make yoga accessible for all people and bodies. We also have fun :).

I decided to open the studio for many reasons. I missed having a community studio in the neighborhood. I also deeply know how lonely and isolated many people feel these days. We are all so connected via the internet and smartphones, but disconnected from people in the here and now simultaneously. The studio offers affordable yoga - we have a free class once a week and we offer a sliding scale for students. We want people to enjoy the rewards of yoga and have support and encouragement while they practice. We hope to inspire and instill wisdom folks can apply on and off the mat. It has great health benefits for a variety of things ranging from physical disorders to mental/emotional well-being. I am passionate about giving people skills to be the best versions of themselves.
