We’re proud to introduce our new Hepatitis C awareness and testing campaign led by iPrevent and funded by SAMHSA. Our goal is to reduce barriers to care by increasing awareness, providing free rapid Hepatitis C testing, and connecting our community to timely treatment, especially in high-impact neighborhoods.

Hepatitis C (Hep C) is a blood borne virus that damages the liver. Many people who have Hep C don’t feel sick or show symptoms, which means it can go unnoticed for years. If left untreated, it can lead to serious liver disease or even cancer. Getting tested is the only way to know your status, and the good news is that Hep C is treatable and curable with proper care.

’Tis the season for holiday magic at Claire House, our women with children program in Bayou Vista! ✨ Our New Orleans staff spent time wrapping gifts to make sure the kids at Claire House have a magical and memorable holiday. Meanwhile, the moms got creative in a hands-on cake baking class, learning to bake and decorate beautiful holiday cakes from scratch with the help of a local bakery. Thank you to House of Auz Cakes & Treats! 🍰

While our Sobering Center is closing its doors, all other programs and services continue to operate as usual and are open for intakes. We are deeply grateful for the continued trust and support of our community as we carry forward our mission of care and recovery.
