Today is the closing ceremony of Venerable Henriette Delille Youth Leadership Institute hosted by St. Mary’s Academy, New Orleans. The young ladies had come in professional attire to make a group presentation. London Banks, a rising 8th grader was so ready!!

The Grand Princess has arrived!! Because of Covid she faced many challenges learning to read. Well this is the year she showed the true rockstar she really is!! She is officially reading at grade level and exceeding the requirements in math!! She even made the honor roll for the 1st semester!! This summer we will continue to focus on reading and developing her interests, what ever she decides they are. Last year it was sewing. 🥰❤️❤️

This year we worked really hard on getting homework done, studying for tests, behavior and doing well is subjects that you really aren’t fond of. This is the result. 3.5 gpa, highest average in American History, most improved in culinary and the highest merits for 7th grade (merit award). I am so proud of her and the work she put in in self improvement. 8th grade here we come!!!!

When I want to quit, God shows me that there are still so many kids that still need me.
