A small excerpt from my newest piece on Psychedelic Science. It was a wild ride to say the least.
I have so much more to share from the individual sessions I went to with incredible doctors, researchers, and traditional healers.
The evidence that we have now of the unseen world affecting our material reality is powerful. I’m even more committed to this path of healing I have chosen and excited to see how I can bring it together more with modern science.
One moment that didn’t make it into this piece but likely will next week in one on science meets (or rather catches up to) spirituality —
Dr. Joe Tafur, a physician and curandero, looked directly at the researchers from Emory after they had fumbled a question about plant spirit guides saying there wasn’t enough research and said,
“In indigenous medicine if you don’t talk to plant spirits then you are not a healer. That is a core competency.”
Willoughby Britton of Cheetah House warned us of corporate takeover and the inevitable trampling over people that comes with it. She suggested reading Industrial Strength Denial which is now on my list.
What really blew me away time and again is that even the researchers who were hesitant to talk about spirits or the unseen world were showing us evidence that physical, emotional, and mental healing don’t happen without a spiritual breakthrough, safe relationships, and preparation and integration.
The ways of our ancestors have a lot to teach in regards to the healing we need to do.
I’m looking forward to learning more, applying more, and sharing more with you. 💗
