We're so excited to welcome Paige Franklin to the Nest team as our new VP, Growth.

Paige has been a trailblazer in Medicaid, serving as one of the youngest CEOs of a Medicaid plan in the country. She has led major procurements, expanded care for children impacted by the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and championed innovation that improved the lives of thousands of families.

At Nest, Paige will help us bring our whole-family, in-home care model to even more communities. We cannot wait to see the impact she will make.

Michael Meador has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. He’s been with us since 2023, helping guide Nest’s rapid growth and building the financial foundation for our future.

Paula Knez is stepping into the role of Senior Director, Accounting. She has been the driving force behind our accounting operations, known for her expertise and her kindness to colleagues.

At Nest, we believe mental health is family health. Whether it’s a new mom feeling overwhelmed, a child struggling with big emotions, or a caregiver managing everyday stress — we see it every day in the homes we visit, and we meet it with care, compassion, and free of judgment.

❗Nearly 4 in 10 adults on Medicaid face mental health challenges
❗Many families turn to the ER for mental health support because other options are hard to reach
❗Families with children with behavioral health needs often wait far too long for the care they need

This week, we recognize as a time to raise awareness about the urgent maternal health disparities facing Black women and to celebrate the powerful work being done in our communities to change that.

In Louisiana, where Black women are more than twice as likely to die from pregnancy-related causes, the stakes couldn’t be higher. But we also know that community is the antidote to these inequities.

We kicked off the week by joining the Community Advisory Board meeting with Momentum Park and Labor and Love surrounded by advocates, community-based doulas, healthcare leaders, and local heroes who are reshaping the future for Black mothers and babies across the state.

We're proud to stand with every organization and individual working to make pregnancy and birth safer, more equitable, and more supported. 💜

We've been celebrating here at Nest Health by shining a light on some of our incredible teammates who make Nest who we are — taking the opportunity to celebrate our Black colleagues' contributions, recognize their impact, and amplify their voices. We're closing out the series today by spotlighting Auriel, our Physician Assistant in New Orleans.

Here are a few words from Auriel's manager, our Louisiana Medical Director, Dr. Katie Brown:

"Since joining us ten months ago, Auriel has brought a strong passion for patient care and lifelong learning to the team. She is an incredibly compassionate and approachable provider. And for the families who are lucky enough to have her as a provider, she spends time getting to know them personally, understanding their barriers to care and the difficulties that they are experiencing in day-to-day life, and finding ways to help them both through Nest and on her own. When I overhear Auri speaking with her patients, I can feel the impact that she has made with these families. They are so comfortable with her and very appreciative of the care they are receiving. Thank you Auri for all that you do for your Nest families!!"
