Avoid taking pills that are not prescribed to you. If substances
are used, testing with fentanyl test strips can reduce risk. It is
also safer to avoid using alone and to carry naloxone (Narcan)
when available. Knowing the signs of an overdose and how to use naloxone can be the difference between life or death.
