Dr. Hooper had the privilege of representing our practice during the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery’s 2025 District Virtual Fly-In. She met with Holly Hendrix, Legislative Director for Representative Steve Scalise, to discuss the ongoing cuts to Medicare physician payments — including the lack of an annual inflationary update and the burdens of budget neutrality requirements. These policies contributed to a 2.8% reduction in 2024 and continue to place pressure on practices like ours, where overhead cost are rising. Advocacy like this is essential to protecting patient access and the future of dermatologic care.
