Mardi Gras 2026! 💜💚💛
It was fun while it lasted but it wore me out. 2 weekends of non stop parades, events and fun! 😩 Mardi Gras isn’t for the weak😂 Love my city and my culture but I’m ready for some🦞and to stay inside!

Parades: Freret, Choctaw, Pontchartrain, Legion of Mars, Endymion, Bacchus & Lundi Gras on the River.

I’m late to this trend.
But honestly, that’s kind of been a theme in my life.

This year changed me quietly. I stopped waiting for perfect. I let real life be enough. I showed up even when things were hard, and somehow, that made space for something really beautiful.

No recipe. No measurements. Just “watch and learn.”

360 mini fruitcakes later, this is definitely not quiet. But these fruit cakes are amazing!

Part two of our lavender Christmas tree 💜

Between broken lights, sickness, and a few “it is what it is” moments… this one tested us.

But doing it together made it worth it — and making memories and teaching her to roll with the punches is something I hope stays with her forever.
