More reasons to love learning and being at Dr Timothy Wilens did a deep and thorough primer on ADHD. Guess what? Treating ADHD (around 9 may be optimal) improves brain function. Treating ADHD decreases risk of things like - substance use, accidents, mood disturbances (in many).
Data supports this. Don't want to use stimulants? There are multiple non-stimulant meds, devices and also digital therapeutics and types of therapy that make a durable treatment impact. Take home message? Assess and treat ADHD.
