Ever wonder why spring makes you sneeze?

When trees and plants release pollen, your body can mistake it for something harmful. That triggers sneezing, itchy eyes, and a runny nose. It's your body fighting back against something that isn't actually a threat.

In New Orleans, oak and cypress trees are some of the biggest culprits. And with our warm, humid weather, pollen season hits early and sticks around.

If your symptoms are making it hard to get through the day, our providers can help. Call us today at 504-529-5558.

Have you heard of a bone density test? It measures how strong your bones are and how likely they are to break.

You may need one if you've lost height, broken a bone, or taken steroid medication long-term. Changes in hormone levels (like after menopause) can also weaken bones over time.

Ask your provider if it's right for you!

Most people only think about their health when something goes wrong.

A primary care provider helps you stay ahead of that. Your provider can help manage long-term conditions, get you care when you're sick, and connect you to specialists when you need them.

At St. Thomas, we're here for all of it!

PrEP is a medication that can lower your risk of getting HIV by up to 99% when taken as prescribed.

Here's what getting started looks like:
1️⃣ You talk to any provider who can write prescriptions (no specialist needed).
2️⃣ You'll get an HIV test first to make sure PrEP is right for you.
3️⃣ Your provider will write you a prescription for daily oral PrEP or schedule your first injectable PrEP shot.
4️⃣ After that, check-ins are every 3 months for daily oral PrEP or every 2 to 6 months if you choose injectable PrEP.
5️⃣ That's it!

St. Thomas offers PrEP services with full confidentiality, regardless of your ability to pay. Call 504-529-5558 to speak with a provider.
