Robert A. Dahmes, MD, is truly an outstanding psychiatrist who specializes in medication management and active working collaborations with fellow therapists. Dr. Rob is an Algiers native who, over many decades, has treated hundreds, possibly thousands, of patients. He is OUTSTANDING, not just because of his experience, but because of the time he takes to listen. By doing so, he helps individuals make informed choices regarding their medication and move in positive directions. Additionally, Dr. Dahmes is one of the very few doctors who is an expert in analyzing multiple drugs (sometimes 20 or more) for adverse side effects and interactions. By doing so, his recommendations have changed patients’ lives for the better. Dr. Rob gives back to the community in numerous other ways, such as serving on the Louisiana State Medical Society's advisory committee to the State Legislature and the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Government. In his leisure time, Dr. Rob plays music with a popular local band!

Honoring SHANTRICE DIAL as an inductee into the 2026 Positive Headspace MENTAL HEALTH HALL OF FAME!

SHANTRICE DIAL is responsible for the mental wellness of some of the most vulnerable populations in the New Orleans community, including homeless veterans and those living with HIV/AIDS. She has served as the Executive Director of Concerned Citizens for a Better Algiers since 2018. Shantrice leads with vision, accountability, and results—expanding quality housing while delivering supportive services to the most vulnerable. Her ability to align intentional mental health care with a mission to inspire sustainability and to create both affordable and market-rate housing sets Shantrice apart as a forward-thinking community leader. Shantrice Dial is intentional about inspiring others through action—advocating for those in need, building strong community partnerships, and demonstrating that impactful work and operational excellence can coexist. As a leader, she is proof that it is possible to transform human lives while strengthening entire communities.
