🎉👑 It’s King’s Day! 👑🎉

Today, January 6 (Epiphany) marks King’s Day, the official start of the Carnival season! 🎭✨

King’s Day celebrates the visit of the Three Kings to baby Jesus and is deliciously symbolized by the King Cake—a sweet, brioche-like pastry enjoyed throughout the season. The oval-shaped cake is decorated in classic Mardi Gras colors:
💜 Purple for justice
💚 Green for faith
💛 Gold for power

Traditionally, King Cake hides a plastic baby and whoever finds it is crowned king or queen for the day 👑 and gets the honor (and responsibility!) of bringing the next King Cake.

This beloved tradition, brought from Europe—especially France—is at the heart of our city and Mardi Gras and is enjoyed from King’s Day all the way until Mardi Gras Day!

Let the Carnival season begin and DON'T FORGET TO BRUSH after you eat your slice! 🎶🎭🥳

As we step into the new year, it’s the perfect time to set some healthy dental resolutions that keep your smile bright all year long 😁
🦷 Dental New Year Resolution Ideas:
• Brush your teeth twice a day and make sure to use a toothpaste containing fluoride!
• Floss every night before bed - Clean between teeth daily to remove plaque brushing misses
• Limit sugary foods and drinks - Cut back on sugary snacks and sodas, as sugar feeds cavity-causing bacteria.
• Drink more water throughout the day - Drink plenty of water, which helps rinse away food particles and bacteria.
• Choose tooth-friendly foods like fruits, veggies, dairy, and nuts
• Schedule regular dental visits to stay on track

Your donation of a new, unwrapped toy can help ease a child’s pain and bring a little joy and comfort during their hospital stay.
✨ Drop off your gifts at our office between up until Thursday, December 11th and help us make this season brighter for some very special kids.
