Munich Diaries, 9/11/21

It’s been 65 and sunny all week. I have 5 local . I know my way around.
I was hopping on a scooter when Sabina, a 76 year old woman asked me where I got my tan. Turns out, she once stayed at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans. I was headed for a pedicure but we got ice cream instead. For a moment, I let her be my grandma.
There are so many encounters in life. I am to be living in the present moment to fully experience them. With a gorgeous day like today, I can resist the I’m feeling. A summer in Munich was a great choice. I am living my best life.

How many Nola girls can we get to Munich!?! So far going strong with 4. coming in from Rome, meeting me from Florence and making her way from Copenhagen. It feels incredibly comforting to have my New Orleans community with me in Munich at different times. New Orleanians have a different lifestyle and mindset and with this commonality we find ourselves connecting on a global platform while still getting the feeling of being home. We are definitely more wild, emotional and outgoing than most but also kinder and sometimes softer. I am so grateful for them.

Have I told you how much fun I’m having?! I’ve been in Europe for 2 months now. Everyone keeps asking what my plan is, when I’m coming home? I’m staying for September, I’m only coming home cause eventually my visa will expire. I might get lucky and snag a Slovene passport. I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m in my flow. Flow is hard to find and I’m going to ride this out. It’s like a burst of energetic creativity. I was bored and uninspired in New Orleans. A change of scene and lifestyle has brought me back to life. If you’re not happy, inspired, or growing - mix it up. That’s all I got for now. So come visit and send me hugs and kisses.

I’m learning a lot about myself in a place where I don’t have friends, lovers or family to save me and entertain me. Coming from a place where you know everyone to a place you know (almost) no one is challenging. I’m living in a space out of my comfort zone to find growth and experience breakthroughs. Even though I doubt myself, I’m crushing the positive self talk and the exploration of possibilities. Fake it till you make it.
