Why occupational therapy is such an effective and important health profession to address BEFORE health declines. Meaningful activities, particularly ADLs, are what keeps our minds and bodies healthy. We can help retain physical/mental abilities, BUT ALSO address adaptations, compensatory strategies/equipment or technology to maintain ADLs. Always consider OT—It’s both physical and mental health therapy!
