It’s Va**na Appreciation Day and it is finally the day we deserve.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate everything your va**na (and v***a) do for you. The childbirth. The pleasure. The putting up with years of uncomfortable underwear and being completely ignored by the medical community. Truly heroic stuff.

She deserves a standing ovation. Or at minimum, a pelvic floor workout.

Drop a 🩷 below if you think your va**na deserve more than one day of appreciation a year.

Most people only hear about one way to push during birth, but you have options!! If you have a babe on the way, comment "BIRTH PREP" and I'll send you my tops tips to prep your pelvic floor for birth.

Different pushing positions and techniques can help you work with your body, support pelvic floor relaxation, and potentially make pushing feel more effective and intuitive. What works best can depend on your body, your baby’s position, your comfort, and whether or not you have an epidural.

This is your reminder that birth is not one-size-fits-all. Talk with your medical provider in advance about your options and practice these so you know what works for you!

Want to increase your chances of a va**nal birth? Start WALKING🚶‍♀️🤰

One study found that pregnant women who walked for 40 minutes, 4 times a week starting at 34 weeks had a higher Bishop score, which means the cervix was more favorable for labor. They were also more likely to go into labor spontaneously and had lower rates of induction, c-section, and instrumental delivery, without any negative impact on baby’s Apgar score. ✨

Walking is simple, free, and one of the EASIEST ways to support your body in the third trimester. It can help encourage baby’s head onto the cervix and support the natural progression of labor. 👶

If you’re in the home stretch, this is your reminder to keep moving. Walk the block, the stairs, the hallway, whatever works. 🙌 If you want even more guidance check out my app .v.hive with an entire childbirth prep series that goes over push prep, C-section prep and postpartum recovery.

One of the best parts of this job is getting to grow with my patients through every season of life... mine and theirs. 🤍

The appointment is never just about one symptom or one visit. It is also about the life happening around it, the pregnancies, losses, engagements, career changes, new homes, growing families, big milestones, and everything in between. Getting to be a small part of those chapters is something I never take lightly and one of the favorite parts of my job🥹

What's a special moment you've shared with a medical provider in your life? 💙

Your bathroom setup matters more than people think 👀

You do not need a fancy p**p stool to support better p**ping posture. The goal is simply to get your knees higher than your hips so your body is in a squatting position for an easier p**p and less strain on the pelvic floor!

Save this for later and send it to someone who takes their bathroom routine very seriously 💩

Leaking during workouts is common, but that does not mean it is something you just have to live with!

There are real reasons it happens, and the good news is there are also real ways to address it. From breathing mechanics to pelvic floor coordination and support strategies, small changes can make a big difference. You do not need to stop exercising. You need the right support and the right information 🙌

Save this for your next workout and send it to a friend who needs to hear this 💗

If you’re pregnant… this is for you. 🤍

Exercise during pregnancy is incredibly beneficial for you, your birth and your baby. The benefits are huge yet often we are told what we CAN'T do instead of what CAN. So we get scared and perhaps do nothing.

But this does not have to be the case.

You can do what you've always done, perhaps with some modifications for comfort. You can even start exercising if you haven't done so prior to pregnancy. Its not so black or white. Its about finding ways to move and stay strong as you transition through each stage. Women need to be empowered and informed during pregnancy!

Check out my .v.hive app (link in bio) with an entire pregnancy and postpartum strengthening, birth prep, and birth recovery program and start a week of free workouts. I got you, mama! ✨

5 things nobody tells you about C-section recovery but absolutely should.

1. Start walking day 1. Even a slow shuffle down the hospital hallway counts. Early movement helps with circulation, gas pain, and overall recovery. You’ve got this.

2. Support your incision when you cough, sneeze, or p**p. Grab a pillow and press it firmly against your incision. Simple but it makes a world of difference.

3. Silicone scar strips are worth every penny. They help with healing, texture, and appearance. Start using them once your incision is fully closed and thank yourself later.

4. Scar massage is a total game changer. It decreases pain, improves mobility, and can reduce the C-section shelf over time. Most women have never even heard of this and y’all, it works.

5. Pelvic floor therapy is for you too, C-section mamas. Major abdominal surgery affects your whole core, not just your incision. You deserve proper support, not just a 6 week checkup and a thumbs up.

Your recovery deserves real attention and we are here for it.

Comment “C-SECTION” and I’ll send you my free guide to getting started with your recovery.
