We're counting down the days to our annual Cardboard Boat Regatta! Gather around the Cross Keys Village pond on Friday, June 5, at 1:30 pm for a splashin' good time! Come and cheer on residents, team members, and community participants as they battle in not-quite-seaworthy vessels made entirely out of a cardboard!

Today, we had the pleasure of celebrating one of our team members in a special way! Sammie, a CKV team member since 2024, will graduate next week and continue building her career here at Cross Keys Village. This July, she will take the next exciting step by joining our on-site CNA classes, working toward her official certification. In addition, Sammie is continuing her education by pursuing a degree in Healthcare Management through HACC.

Surrounded by colleagues, her parents, and Drew Little (Principal at Colonial Career and Technology Center), Sammie signed a symbolic commitment letter. Similar to signing events held for student-athletes committing to colleges, this signing event symbolized Sammie's commitment to entering the workforce and growing in her career.

Congratulations, Sammie! We’re proud of you and excited to watch you grow!

Cross Keys Village Hosts Personal Care Open House in New Oxford

NEW OXFORD, PA. — Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community welcomed guests this morning to its Personal Care Open House at the Personal Care residence located at 2990 Carlisle Pike in New Oxford.

The event provided community members, caregivers, and local partners an opportunity to learn more about the organization’s personalized approach to senior living and supportive care services. Attendees enjoyed light refreshments, guided tours, and conversations with team members about the exceptional care and vibrant lifestyle available within the Personal Care community.

Cross Keys Village’s Personal Care community is thoughtfully designed for individuals who may benefit from assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, medication management, or mobility support. Residents receive compassionate care in a welcoming environment that promotes independence, safety, well-being, and meaningful engagement in everyday life.

“Our goal is to provide care that is truly personal,” said Ashley Myers, Personal Care Home Administrator “Today’s open house gave visitors the chance to experience firsthand the warm and supportive atmosphere that makes our Personal Care community so special.”

The event highlighted the dedication of Cross Keys Village staff and reinforced the organization’s commitment to enhancing quality of life for senior adults through compassionate service, engaging programming, and individualized support.

Today we're proud to highlight Amy (left) and her incredible 10 years of service at CKV! Amy started in our Healthcare Center and then transitioned over to Brookside in early 2020, where she currently serves on our nightshift team. We're thankful for her compassion and willingness to work late night hours to ensure our residents receive the best care around the clock! To celebrate this important milestone, our Brookside leaders, Cassie and Marisa, even stopped in during the night shift to personally thank and celebrate her. Congratulations, Amy, on 10 amazing years!

The annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at Cross Keys Village is coming up! Participants will race around the pond in cardboard boats and hope to get to the finish line before they sink! Any boats still afloat after the races will compete to sink each other with buckets, water guns, or just splashing. Butterfly sponsorships honor and memorialize loved ones while supporting a meaningful cause—proceeds benefit the Good Samaritan Fund at Cross Keys Village, which helps residents who have exhausted their financial resources.

Our Avenue of the Arts space in Harmony Ridge is ever evolving! This year we are featuring seven different exhibitions showcasing Villager art. The current exhibit features works inspired by the song "In My Life."

Opening day is a flurry of activity when volunteers help transition to the new exhibit in preparation for the official unveiling. All of the pieces are hung and labeled in just a couple short hours thanks to these dedicated Villagers under the direction of Life Enrichment Specialist Monte Leister. Take a moment to thank them for making these exhibits such a special event!
