Are we ready to have this conversation?
A professional colleague posted, and I responded.
This is an important conversation to have, but are we ready to be really honest with ourselves and confront the uncomfortable truths about our role in staying stuck in "survival mode"?
Many businesses do not survive beyond their first year, let alone ten years. Many marriages face similar challenges and fail to endure.
What am I saying here? Are you doing too much just to keep up, or are you expanding, growing, and stacking—building one solid foundation upon another? Or is it like a game of Jenga?
The pieces may be stacked and look solid, but if you’re not truly put together, when obstacles and challenges arise, pieces start to get pulled out from various areas. Eventually, you wobble and face no other option but to tumble down or merely "survive just enough" to stay afloat, wobbling without tumbling.
