One of the best days of my life captured just as beautifully to share with you all - thank you to all of you through this journey that made me feel so amazing and I am so grateful for the community we have surrounding us.
There will be many more photos and shares to come… I know I honestly won’t be able to stop myself, but this place is a magical one, and I can’t wait to see so many more days like this here.
Here’s to one of my best days where love knew no bounds, friends and family were galore, and I got to marry the best man I know.
Cheers to the best days!!

Harvesting is such an important part to farming and thanks to from she caught this photo of me out in the field. You learn so much from harvesting, what bugs might be on the plants, what disease can could harm the plant, if they need more water. It’s such an integral part to the agricultural field. Farmers may be harvesting by hand or harvesting by machine, and so much work goes into both. So make sure to smile at your farmers who are in the field, and remember how much work they are putting into it.

CUCUMBERS!!!
I picked these first this morning, so we should have some in the farm store this weekend, but they are just coming on so we will have more and more in the next few weeks. I am so excited to have cucumbers back, and right around the time our tomatoes are also starting to make an appearance. There is nothing like picking a fresh cucumber and biting into it like an apple. Hope to see you this weekend!

My wife and I purchased the land for our farm in the fall of 1995. This was the first step towards the reality of a dream come true and the beginning of a lot of hard work. I had spent the last 35 years working for some of the best people in the agricultural industry in our region. Taliaferro Farms is a culmination of experiences and knowledge gleaned throughout those years. Our whole family, sons Peter and Ian, daughter Delaney, my wife Robin and myself participate in all aspects of running the farm.
We market our vegetables and fruits that we grow, not only through our CSA plan, but we also wholesale and direct/retail market our produce. Our wholesale produce is appreciated by restaurants such as The Culinary Institute of America, Gadeletos Seafood, Main Course, Farm to Table Bestro, Rock & Rye Tavern, Tea Room, Bridgecreek Catering, Mountain Brauhaus and the Would. You'll find our products at Sunflower Natural Foods (Woodstock, NY) and Health & Nutrition (New Paltz, NY). The Ossining Farmer's Market, the Hastings-on-Hudson Farmer's Market, the Nyack Farmer's Market and The Rhinebeck Farmer's Market are where you'll find us selling our produce.
We also sell retail at our own farmer's market located on the farm. We offer additional products at the farm stand such as Certified Organic milk, cheese, yogurt, peanut butter, fudge, pickle products, honey, meats, grains and baked goods; which are all from local regional organic farms.
We also raise chickens and produce our own eggs. One half acre of cut flowers is also available on a cut your own basis. All of these products are available to the CSA members to purchase, separate from their weekly share.
The farm stand is open to the public on Thursdays 9am to 7pm, Fridays 9am to 6pm and on Saturdays 9 am to 3pm along with flower cutting.
