Our observing mind, known as the Hun, is most alive during the spring. We have three observing minds: our gut brain, known as Hidden Essence, our heart mind, known as Peaceful Soul, and our third eye, known as Imminent Light.

These three minds contain a lot of information. Meditating on each of these centers will provide us with guidance.

Email from Vitality Yoga Flow ...if we decide to pay attention. Hi Maggie, After this past spring's Revitalizing Workshop weekend, where I taught about the three Hun, our three observing minds, I bump

The spring time is the easiest time to open our hips!

Reason being, the spring is the time when our liver and gallbladder energy is running the strongest.

The liver and gallbladder meridians, which are the energy pathways of the organs, are in energetic high tide in the spring, which makes it the easiest time to Increase their Chi flow and balance out any blockages or stagnation.

When the liver energy (chi) is balanced, we feel inspired, easy-going, generous and kind.

But when the liver energy is stagnant or blocked from too much sitting, we often suffer from frustration and anger.

The gallbladder Meridian, the partner to the liver, runs through the outer hip. When the energy of the gallbladder is balanced, we make good clear decisions and take the liver inspiration into action.

But when gallbladder chi is stagnant and weak and out of balance, we suffer from confusion and poor decision-making.

Come join us this weekend April 26th–27 to balance out the energy in your liver, so you can be kind and generous and move with a lot more ease and grace.

Join our 300 hour teacher training or masters path to be inspired by a group of yogis who are all learning and ascending together!✨🌱

Chronic hip pain seems to be an epidemic as we are sitting more than ever these days.

Hip mobility movements are so important as they stretch and strengthen the muscles around our hip joint which will relieve joint pain.

The liver and gallbladder meridians, energy pathways, run right through the inner and outer hips. So when our hips are tight and weak, the energy flow becomes stagnant and deficient.

When liver energy is stagnant and deficient, we feel angry and frustrated. But when we can regulate the energy flow liver chi (energy) provides us with a lot of inspiration and a kind, generous nature.
Gallbladder energy -when stuck and stagnant on the outer hips, bring about a lot of confusion and poor decision-making. As when our gallbladder energy is running efficiently and well balanced, we make good clear decisions and take right action on the livers inspiration.

So adding hip mobility into your yoga practices will help you and your students have strong, flexible, and mobile hips that are pain-free!
This way you can move with grace through the spring and summertime!🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️☀️🤸

If you have neck pain check this out!

So many of us do, with our heads jetting forward, using our phones and computers all the time, so we want to strengthen those muscles that are getting tight and weak.

Laying on the floor or on your bed, just lifting your head up and down slowly with your breath, will strengthen those muscle muscles in the neck and the upper back.

Then stretch them. Lay over your bed and just let your neck hang and breathe really deeply into your upper back and neck.

It feels really good and is deeply therapeutic.
You will feel so much better!

Arm balances provide us with physical, mental and emotional strength. And we need all of this right now!💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Arm balances also stimulate most of the meridians, the energy pathways of the organs, that run through the body.

Stimulating meridians affect us emotionally as emotions are energy.

When the meridians are running efficiently, and balanced, we feel the benefits of the strength, courage, resiliency, and clear decision-making that all of these meridians provide us.

But when the meridians are weak, excessive or out of balance, we suffer from worry, fear, anger, and negative emotions that affect of maladapted energy flow.

Each season has a different pair of organs that are energetically running the strongest, so we design our sequences to stimulate the meridians to create a smooth balanced flow so we can feel our best emotionally!

If you would like to learn how to design your sequences to flow with the seasonal energy so you can feel optimal, join our 300 hour teacher training March 22–23.

Will be working on the spring 🌱🌷seasonal protocol of the liver and gallbladder Meridians that provide us with inspiration and good, clear decision making versus anger and frustration from maladapted liver chi.

Check out the 300 hour teacher training link in bio.

Fear is up in the collective.

To soothe fear, which depletes kidney chi, stimulate the meridians of the kidney and bladder through forward bends.

Breathing through them calms anxiety and restores our energy reserves so we can be there for the vulnerable who need support.

Fear and anxiety are on high in the collective.

Specific yoga poses can create desired emotions.

Handstands create courage.

Backbends open our hearts and create connection.

Forward bends soothe our anxiety and create a peaceful mind.

This is so important so we can be strong for those who are vulnerable and afraid.

Adding Chi gong to my yoga, provides focus for my mind!

Where the mind goes, energy flows.✨
Both yoga and Chinese medicine agree on this concept.

Breathing through the meridians gives a clear simple pattern for our mind and breath to connect to. This is concentration leading to meditation. these are the fundamental principles of yoga.

Dharana, concentration leading to Dhyana, Meditation.

If you are interested in combining yoga and Chi gong, and design designing sequences that stimulate the meridians that are running the strongest each season, consider joining our Masters Path for 300 hour teacher training.

This a deeply healing practice which provides so much relief for people who suffer from chronic anxiety and autoimmune issues.

In the winter, our kidney and bladder energy (a.k.a. Chi) is running the strongest.

Our emotions are the best indicators on if our chi flow is balanced or out of balance.⚖️

When the kidney chi is weak, we feel a lot of fear and insecurity. 😳😬

When kidney Chi is balanced, we feel willpower and endurance and are able to tap into our intuition.

Stimulating these energy pathways called meridians in our yoga practice will regulate the flow of energy and allow us to feel will power and endurance to get us through difficult times.

if you need to regulate your emotions, consider the Meridian flow that specifically designs sequences to stimulate the energy pathways, so we can emotionally feel well regulated and balanced.😌

Each season we work with a different set of meridians that are energetically in high tide, so in the winter, we focus on kidney and bladder meridians as they feed the liver and gallbladder in the spring to provide us with inspiration for new growth!

Being listened to is how we build intimacy. During the winter, our ears are energetically running strong, as the ears are the sense door to the kidneys. When we practice deep listening, we build trust and connection. It's a skill worth strengthening! https://conta.cc/4j9UYh1

Back pain and joint pain are no joke!
I suffered from debilitating back pain for more than 10 years and finally had to take it on myself through yoga and Chinese medicine.🕉☯️

Strengthening the muscles around the spine is one of the best things we can do to prevent back pain and heal it.💪🏼

Locust pose, also known as Salambasana and warrior three are great yoga poses to strengthen back muscles. They definitely helped me a lot!

But I’ve also added retro walking, walking backwards as another back strengthener. It also strengthens our glutes and our knees. It’s known as a longevity practice according to Chinese medicine and it’s really good for your brain as well!

And I love my guasha, this one’s from SunMoon Care, and their guasha oil is amazing.✨

So try any of these practices.
And come join me in Costa Rica at the end of February, we can walk down the beach backwards together!
