A little update since I’ve been a little MIA on social media. Life has been a bit chaotic. Between injecting, the hospital, selling my house and moving, Malia switching schools, it’s been a wild few weeks.

I’ve opened up a few appointments for the rest of September. Claim them quickly, because they will likely go fast.

Laser Season is Quickly Approaching!

Laser Hair Removal is best completed in the fall/winter when you can be out of the sun!

Here’s why! Exposing the intended treatment area to sun two weeks leading up to the laser hair removal treatment can cause permanent dark spots. The sun activates/heats up melanocytes (what gives our skin color). Lasers utilize heat energy, and when used on already activated melanocytes, the risk of hyperpigmentation (dark spots) is greatly increased. For this, avoiding sun exposure two weeks prior, and one week after treatment is imperative, and who wants to spend their summer avoiding the sun?
