Our residents were originally supposed to attend the annual Picnic in the Park last Tuesday, but unfortunately our bus lift was unexpectedly out of service and we were unable to go. Since this is something our residents look forward to each year, our amazing Activities Team quickly came together and created a fun picnic of our own right here at the facility! ☀️🌭🍦

Residents enjoyed hotdogs, chips, drinks, ice cream for dessert, bingo, and even cooled off with a water sprinkler on this warm afternoon. While it wasn’t the day we originally planned, everyone made the best of the situation and still had a wonderful time together! ❤️

Who doesn’t enjoy cookies early on a Monday morning? A special thank you to Faith Hart, a dedicated LPN who has worked at Schoenbrunn for many years, for the beautiful patriotic cookie cart! She generously made her rounds to all four of our nursing units to share her sweet treats! Your kindness helped make the day extra sweet for our staff who are working today. ❤️🤍💙

Cookies, dirty sodas, and movie time… sounds like the perfect day! 🍪🥤🎥
Residents celebrated National Chocolate Chip Day earlier this week with cookie baking, then cooled off this afternoon with a Dirty Soda Bar (floats) and ended with watching the movie, Dirty Dancing. 💃🏻

Yesterday’s National Nursing Home Week theme was “Roots & Heritage” as part of this year’s “Moments in Bloom” celebration. Staff had so much fun dressing in an era they would have loved to bloom in, from classic decades to groovy styles and timeless fashion. We didn't get many pictures but let me tell you it was a wonderful way to celebrate the generations that continue to shape and inspire us every day! 🌸

With twice a week wound evaluations from Dr. Ruiz Rodriguez - the VOHRA Wound Physician, daily treatments performed by our in-house nursing staff, and continued healing success, we remain dedicated to clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
