💙 We were honored to host the All Staff & Clinician September Breakfast Meeting with our partners at AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care – Tampa Bay.

With 60+ AccentCare clinicians in attendance, our Client Director, Erik, and Melanie shared What Makes Visiting Angels Different when supporting mutual patients on their hospice journey:

✨ 185 licensed and compassionate caregivers (average age 53 with 5.5 years of experience)
✨ 24/7 live phone support for clinicians, families, and clients – always reaching a real person
✨ Immediate availability to step in and support families when they need it most

The conversation was filled with thoughtful questions, including real-life scenarios where Visiting Angels can step in to ease the burden on families—like providing overnight caregivers to ensure loved ones are cared for and families can rest.

🌍✈️ At 84, the Traveling Nanas proved adventure has no age limit! Eleanor Hamby and Dr. Sandra Hazelip visited 7 continents in 80 days—on a budget and full of fearless fun. 🙌

After losing their husbands and becoming empty nesters, two women formed an unexpected friendship that led them from grief to a globe-trotting adventure. What began with mission trips soon turned into a journey across all seven continents — proving that it’s never too late to live boldly.

🌟 Community Connections in Senior Care 🌟

Last week, Visiting Angels Tampa Bay had the privilege of participating in the Small Assisted Living Coalition, Inc., hosted by Michael Snyder & Sunset Funeral Home and Memory Gardens. We were excited to donate this month’s gift basket and connect with fellow leaders in senior care.

The Coalition was founded by John and Angelett Johnson, who continue to be strong advocates for helping seniors and their families find quality care. With support from organizations like ours, the Coalition shares resources, builds relationships, and promotes compassionate care for the Tampa Bay community.

We’re proud to be part of a group that believes in doing good, helping families, and strengthening connections across senior care services. 💙

"For Bill’s 88th birthday, our Angel Gloria went above and beyond—baking him a homemade apple pie and preparing a full birthday spread with chili, coleslaw, macaroni salad, and pork chops. To make it even sweeter, Bill and his wife’s church choir joined in and brought a feast of Filipino favorites, turning the celebration into a true community buffet."
