Cheers to all the amazing biologic coordinators out there. What would we do with you?!
During last night’s talk on I presented the new slide deck on Spectrem- treatment for high impact low BSA involvement locations for psoriasis. I also presented a recent article that really caught my attention .
We know roughly 30% of Psoriatic patients will go on to develop psoriatic arthritis (PsA) ( morning stiffness , swelling of joints and tendons ) .
This month a retrospective study of Bio naive patients was published which showed The risk of developing PsA appeared slightly different in patients receiving different classes of biologics (types of medications).
IL 23 antagonists, like Tremfya , showed the lowest risk of developing PsA.
We also know the sooner we initiate treatment
