We are starting to have a few extra tomatoes from the indoor garden. There are a few ready at the store, more than organic, picked this morning.

We are also expanding our farm this summer. We’re adding space for a diversified vegetable patch that will be available at the shop throughout the season. Locally grown, organic produce we can all afford.

Spring is almost here ☀️

As some of you already know, our dear friend and SLC family member, Ryan Mulherin, is starting a new adventure and headed home to the county. He’s starting a new chapter, getting back to his roots and will be closer to his family.

We are grateful beyond words for his support, help, and most importantly friendship. He has been a great member of our little tribe here in New Portland and he will be missed.

This Tuesday is sadly his last day with us.

We’ll be closed on Tuesdays for now as we figure out the future of the shop schedule.

We wish him all the best life has offer and we’ll definitely catch him on the flip.

Hello out there friends near and far- our oldest daughter is participating in the WinterKids Downhill24 fundraiser on her middle school team.

WinterKids provides funding to schools all over Maine for outdoor recreation and education. They help ensure our kids have access to things they may never otherwise.

Today is our 4th anniversary at . As I sit and prep for the day I am reminded of where we started and where we are. Humble beginnings a decade ago working on other caregiver farms and building a small indoor setup for myself. Fast forward through the years and a second daughter, buying property, building greenhouses by hand, and realizing that a storefront might be a good idea. So we did and on 1/8/21 we opened for the first time. Winter clothes inside, a folding table and a walk up window, we didn’t know how it would go but here we are.

Ups and downs, life changes, and all things associated with being a small business owner I realize I am blessed and lucky to be living and working doing something I love. Meeting and helping people, building relationships and becoming a better version of myself to be a better husband, father, son, brother and friend. I’ve seen struggle. I’ve known hardship. We’ve battled to stay here and each year I take solace knowing we’re building something real, with the right intentions and morals. That we’ve never sacrificed our soul to make a quick buck or take advantage of the patients who continue to rely on us. The same patients who now trust us wholeheartedly and now help us break the stigma in our communities.

Perspective is a gateway to better days if you’re open to adventure and for us the ride has just begun.

So from all of us, I offer our deepest and sincerest gratitude. Thank you for standing beside us. Thank you for supporting our small business. Thank you for seeing us as the people in your community who care about the medicine you take from our little shop regularly. We are so honored to have so many people pulling for us.

The biggest of thank you’s belongs to my wife and biggest supporter, but many fall on that list. We love you all.

We’re going to do something fun soon to celebrate the milestone soon- keep watch. 4 years deserves something special.
