We know this closure is going to be a challenge for residents, businesses, delivery drivers, school traffic, emergency services, and commuters.

Whether you're trying to get the kids to school, make it to work on time, run errands, or just avoid another detour , we completely understand the frustration. While this work isn’t being coordinated by the City, we’re doing our best to help keep everyone informed.

Here’s what you need to know:
🚫 Knowles Ave will be closed at the railroad crossing starting Monday, September 15
🛣️ A signed detour will be in place
📅 Work is expected to be complete by Friday, September 19 (weather permitting)

Beginning Monday, September 15, Wisconsin Central Ltd. (CN) will be rebuilding the STH-65 railroad crossing.
➡️Knowles Avenue will be closed at the tracks during construction.
🗺️ A signed detour will be in place (see map below).
📅 The road is expected to reopen by Friday, September 19, weather permitting.
