The Lagniappe Historic Dance and Pasttime Society graced us today with their period dancing ranging from the 17th and 18th centuries. If you’ve ever seen a Jane Austen movie, then you know!!! The lavish dresses, the dapper gentlemen all dressed for the polite social pasttime of that era. The residents enjoyed taking a step back in time today for sure❤️. Enjoy the videos of a time long gone.

Today’s “Remember When” Circle Talk took us back to the Great Depression era when the ladies used their creativity using the beautiful patterned fabric that held their flour and other goods. They made quilts and clothes that were beautiful! Money was tight so they were resourceful indeed! I brought my grandmother’s flour sack fabric collection which I cherish. All the ladies had interesting stories about this fabric in their lives.
