Celebrating National Therapeutic Recreation Month at Monarch!

This February, we recognize the power of recreational therapy and the dedicated professionals who bring joy, connection, and purpose to those we serve. At Monarch, we take a holistic approach to well-being and recognize that health goes beyond the physical. Therapeutic recreation is a purposeful, evidence-based practice that reduces social isolation, enhances emotional well-being, and supports physical, cognitive, and social health.

From creative expression and movement to group engagement, our goal is to help every individual thrive and belong today and every day.

This week we are celebrating our Life Enrichment Team in honor of “National Activity Professionals Week”. We all come from different educational and professional backgrounds - teaching, IT, Art Therapy and more - and bring unique skills to the job. One thing we have in common is warmth and a dedication to the well being of the residents of Coopers Corner. Thank you Maria, Ronald, Lucia, Loretta, Debra, Kamilia, (and Marnie our special volunteer who is part of the team), you are special human beings doing amazing work.
