I was told yesterday that the VA is 6 weeks behind on referrals. If you are thinking about getting one, contact Julie Shrock, the Veteran Services Officer at 701-302-8087. She will help file the appropriate paperwork. To be eligible for the VA to pay for your massages, your Veterans Affairs ID card must say “VA Healthcare Enrollee Service Connected”. This will be located under your picture.

📣 I’m honored to share that I’ve been officially accepted as a Community Care Provider for the VA — offering massage therapy services to eligible Veterans! 🇺🇸

What does this mean?

Veterans may qualify for massage therapy through VA Community Care when the VA is unable to provide the service due to distance, availability, or long wait times. Care is accessed by referral through a Veteran’s VA healthcare team.

Massage therapy can be a powerful tool in managing pain, stress, PTSD, and supporting overall wellness — and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide this care to those who have served our country.

If you’re a Veteran or know one who could benefit from therapeutic massage, feel free to reach out or speak with your VA provider about a referral.

Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone wants to get in for a massage. I am set to have surgery on April 8th. I've been advised that I will need 6 weeks off of work. I would like to take a moment to wish my clients a very Merry Christmas. I appreciate all the support I've received, especially in the last 6 months. God has blessed me with some of the most kind and caring people in my life.

It has been a while since I updated on my sister. She has not been released as she still has a lot of work to do. I am happy to say that last week she said she is happy to be alive. Hearing those words were truly a gift from God and brought so much comfort to her family. A month ago, there was no sign of life in her voice, so automatic and emotionless, almost like a robot. Now, she sounds happier and there life in her voice. She still can’t have visitors so we rely on phone and video chats to see her.

The doctors and counselors have told us that the next step after this will involve her living more independently but working with them at least 3 days a week for a majority of the day.

She loves all the cards and letters she has received.

This is Michelle’s sister Christina and I thought I would give you guys an update. We talk every day, something that hasn’t happened for a while. She is doing a little bit better every day and there is color in her face. Her smile is more frequent and she is eating again! She can receive mail and if you would like her address, you can comment below and I will get you her address.

She is actively participating in all of her therapy sessions and learning so much about herself. I read all of your messages to her and that has helped her so much. She still has a lot of hard work ahead of her, but she is ready for each new challenge.

This is Michelle’s sister, Christina. One week ago today Michelle finally accepted the help that so many of us have offered her. Last Sunday, death had consumed every part of her. This has been one of the longest, hardest weeks our lives. So many things have happened that showed us just how broken the system is for people needing mental health help. We also found out how hard loved ones have to advocate for the person needing help. Her broken soul was going accept defeat and walk away because she thought that’s what she deserved. Today there is the tiniest amount of life peaking through and that little glimmer is the hope that we are holding on to. She has a long road ahead of her.

Thank you for the out pouring of love, care, encouragement, support and prayers, she needs them. She is so worried about all of her clients, many of whom she considers dear friends, and we have to remind her to focus herself. Please be patient as she works through her therapy.

My apologies to all my clients. I'm having to take some time off to work on my mental health. I've decided with the help of my family to do in-patient therapy. I know that everyone counts on me to make them feel better but until I'm better I can't help anyone else. I will be back to give everyone their massages again and will get ahold of you to schedule appointments. If you have an appointment my sister will be giving you a call. Again, I'm truly sorry.
