We’re going against the grain here on the topic of STRESS, but hear us out…
Life as an adult can be a whirlwind of responsibilities, deadlines, and endless to-do lists. We get it, and we see 100s of patients a week JUST. LIKE. YOU.
Stress, whether physical or emotional, is a normal and HEALTHY part of life. In fact, we wouldn’t survive as a species without it!
So why does stress get such a bad reputation? Why does everyone seem to just post about ways to “get rid of stress”?
The downside… When stress builds up and we aren’t properly discharging it like our bodies were designed to do, it can lead to muscle tension, headaches, and even interfere with your sleep patterns. Not to mention being short-tempered, having a twitchy eye, or < insert however stress manifests for you > (seriously- tell us in the comments!)
There are a lot of ways to discharge stress daily (hello, moving our bodies!) but the cool thing about chiropractic adjustments is that they focus on optimizing nervous system function. This helps us ADAPT and manage stress more efficiently long term.
Is regular chiro care a swap for the basics like exercise, eating nutritious food, joy, sunlight, meaningful interactions, hydration, etc?
Of course not! But it sure is a powerful tool for honing your body’s already wise wiring.🧠
