✨ Meet K9 Drako ✨
This seven-year-old, purebred German Shepherd has proudly served with the Edgewater Police Department for nearly five years, working side by side with his partner, Officer Nugent. Imported from the Netherlands and dual-purpose certified, Drako specializes in narcotics detection, evidence recovery, and criminal apprehension. 🚓💼🐾

But when he’s off duty? Drako is all play! 💙 Known for his goofy, laid-back personality, he’s just as talented at making people smile as he is at keeping the community safe.

🐶 A true professional and a lovable bestie — K9 Drako, we salute you!

Ashley brings over a decade of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor, with a passion for supporting individuals and families through life’s most difficult moments. Her work centers on grief, healthcare-related stress, pregnancy and infant loss, and helping healthcare professionals build resilience and healing.

Ashley holds space with compassion and grace, walking alongside her clients as they navigate illness, trauma, and loss. Her calming presence and deep expertise make her a powerful addition to our community.

This week, Kimberly Ingram, owner of Wellspring at Port Orange Counseling and a Certified First Responder Counselor, had the honor of teaching in Raul Rivas’ Stress Management Techniques class at the Charles M. Curb School of Emergency Services at Daytona State College, working directly with current law enforcement professionals.

She led important discussions around topics that are often overlooked in high-stress, service-driven careers:

✅ The critical role of sleep in performance and mental health
✅ Sustainable self-care strategies for first responders
✅ Building and maintaining self-esteem under pressure
✅ The power of relational connection in building resilience

Kimberly also facilitated honest conversations about the barriers law enforcement officers face when seeking mental health support—and emphasized the importance of connecting with culturally competent clinicians who genuinely understand the realities of the profession.

As a Certified First Responder Counselor, Kimberly offers culturally competent mental health therapy at Wellspring, backed by specialized training and education specific to first responder culture.
