We’re pleased to welcome Alicia Meinzer, LICSW, to the outpatient Mental Health department at Allina Health New Ulm Medical Center!

Alicia brings a strong focus on human connection and evidence‑based care to support patients through life transitions and mental health challenges. She provides therapy for concerns including anxiety, depression and parent‑child relational issues with an emphasis on compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Congratulations to Jacob Murphy, RN, Inpatient Mental Health, on receiving the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

Jacob was nominated by a patient’s family for helping their loved one feel safe, respected and supported through clear communication, compassionate care and thoughtful coordination from admission to discharge. His attention to both clinical and emotional needs made a lasting impact during a critical time.

We are proud to have Jacob on our team and grateful for the care he provides every day.

We recently lost beloved New Ulm community volunteer and local historian Denny Warta, who passed away last year at the age of 97. Denny’s lifelong commitment to service, community growth, and local history made a lasting impact.

His legacy continues through a generous estate gift to New Ulm Medical Center exceeding $30,000, supporting future innovation and patient-centered initiatives. Pictured are Denny’s children, Dean and Diann, with Carisa Buegler, President, presenting this meaningful donation.
