I always felt a little confined in those spaces and have found that providing a space that is free to make a mess carries some freedom. It's a little odd the first time and by the second time you understand that you are simply parking in a driveway or on the street and walking behind someones home, like visiting a friend in their backyard. hat won't help when you don't know where to go. I'm excited about the approaching spring and have plans to build a "Mermaid Cove", it's just an outdoor sandbox for castle building needs but I like gardening and such so the yard and the office space is always a work in progress and a place to create nonsense. I provide treatment to a variety of populations and while I am a Certified Adlerian Play Therapist, and do work with children, I utilize those skills to be young at heart with all that I do. Teens through adults often respond to my non-judgmental and accepting approach. I believe it's important to find a counselor that will be a good fit for you and your family.
