MY BIO SUMMARY

My spiritual path has been long, officially spanning 5 decades (unofficially, more than that), & is quite eclectic with what some may view as a hodgepodge of unrelated themes. Even as a child, raised in a very Catholic household, I was a mystic with precognitive visions who attracted the extraordinary. When I learned of an esoteric school opening its doors in the early 1970’s, I immediately enrolled. The Inner Vision School of Occult & Psychic Sciences, located in Manhattan, was a wonderful place to get the basics in various divination systems & all things metaphysical. The school also answered some questions for me about my own experiences. After a few years I moved on to deepen my studies at The Occult Guild with Rev. Charles House. We were a small, private group, meeting weekly for several years at the Ansonia Hotel in NYC. House was a student of the late but renowned spiritualist medium, Clifford Bias whose church had also been in the Ansonia. Under the direction of Charles House, we explored the greater meaning of the Hermetic Arts like tarot & astrology, of practices like meditation, chant, ceremonial magick, & ritual, & the timeless truth of the Hermetic Principles. Simultaneously, I studied Ancient Esoteric Philosophy at The New School & received my astrologer certification from the H Eugene Adams School of Astrology in Forest Hills, NY. At the New School I met Jon Mundy, PhD, who introduced me to A Course in Miracles & I became a lifelong student/teacher, going on to facilitate, for several years in the 1990’s, a weekly Course based peer support group for women at the Interfaith Center in Washingtonville, NY. I was also blessed to present workshops at an ACIM annual conference in Bethel, Maine for 5 years in a row, as well as directing a choir & co-producing a Sunday morning service with some beloved brothers & sisters whom I have held in my heart ever since as my core ACIM family. In the same period, my work with chant brought me to record “Lovecalls,” a little a cappella cassette of my original work which in turn brought me an invitation to record a CD, “Lullabies of the Soul,” with a delightful group of sister-souls in Hartford CT. Improvisational heart songs & the vibration of sound has long been a part of my soul’s healing journey. When I moved to Orange County in 1979, I did readings & offered small classes in my home - through the 1980’s - in tarot, astrology, meditation, chant, ritual & sacred ceremony, among other subjects. I had learned psychic/spiritual healing methods at Inner Vision, & made much use of those skills in my travels through pediatric cancer in the same decade, but had a big issue with empathic absorption. I longed to learn Usui Reiki, intuitively sensing that it would help with the empath problem. Back in those days, however, the fees to reach Reiki Master were way out of my financial reach, but I held fast to the vision that one day I would learn. In the late 90’s, I was invited to attend meditation & ritual with a local group of women. After one of the circles, the woman who led the group reached for my hand & said, “You have strong Reiki.” I told her I had never learned. She said I was a natural healer but was having empathic absorption issues that attunement to Reiki would fix. She was so very right. She offered to instruct & attune me & in exchange I assisted her with a personal project. My career as a Reiki Practitioner was soon launched. In early 2000, I became a Reiki Master/Teacher. Reiki did indeed clear my empathic absorption & is a precious gift beyond measure. I am also a writer & poet whose work has been published in various magazines & newsletters spanning back to 1977. More recently, I became a certified aromatherapist, a doTERRA certified essential oil specialist, as well as an essential oil educator at HigherVibeHealth. I have incorporated the use of essential oils into my Reiki practice, along with my standard crystals, solfeggio frequencies & tuning forks. There is really too much life to include all of it in this blurb, but these are some of the highlights on my spiritual road to here. Many Blessings! Thérèse Marie Quinn

Full Wolf SuperMoon in Cancer
January 3 | 13° Cancer @5:03 AM EST

Here is a breakdown of tomorrow's (Jan. 3) full supermoon in Cancer by Penni Shelton.

"As we approach the Full Wolf SuperMoon in Cancer, the sky opens a powerful emotional threshold — one that speaks to belonging, responsibility, protection, and the deep memory carried in the body.

This Moon rises at 13° Cancer, closely aligned with Jupiter, amplifying Cancer’s terrain: home, family, ancestry, emotional safety, and the places where we feel most vulnerable — or most nourished. Feelings may run high, but they are not without meaning. This is emotional truth seeking acknowledgment.

Opposite the Moon, a rare & weighty Capricorn stellium — the Sun, Venus & Mars — forms the backbone of this lunation. This opposition highlights a living tension between the inner world & the outer structures of our lives:
between what we feel & what we are building,
between emotional needs & long-term commitments, between care & responsibility.

With Mars exalted in Capricorn, there is strength available — but it is strength refined through discipline & integrity. This Full Moon does not ask us to abandon responsibility; it asks us to ensure that what we are committing to is rooted in emotional honesty rather than endurance alone.

A key layer of this lunation arrives through Chiron in Aries, which stations less than 24 hours before the Full Moon. This moment marks a subtle but significant turning point. Over recent months, old wounds around identity, self-assertion, anger & independence have been quietly reviewed & felt inwardly. As Chiron turns direct, something shifts from internal processing toward embodied understanding. Healing does not mean the past disappears — it means we no longer have to lead our lives from the wound.

Under this Cancer Moon, courage becomes gentler. Action begins to emerge not from survival, but from self-trust.

Adding depth to this moment, Saturn & Neptune in late Pisces continue to dissolve outdated timelines, roles & expectations, while Pluto newly in Aquarius signals a deeper, collective redefinition of power, authority & responsibility quietly underway.

This is a Full Moon of:
• emotional maturity
• sacred loyalty
• ancestral memory
• redefining success so it includes the heart

The Wolf Moon reminds us that while the path may be solitary at times, we are not meant to abandon what nourishes us in order to belong.

Let this Moon illuminate:
Where have you grown strong enough to protect what truly matters?
Where does your inner world ask for care — not control?"

Venus Moves into Capricorn

Capricorn is a feminine, yin sign: Our Winter Queen. It births ideas, concepts & emotions into form. On Christmas Eve at 11:26 AM EST, Venus, our Lady Love, moves into Capricorn to lift our Christmas gatherings & joins our Winter Queen to choose what is next worthy enough to structure - from the center of our heart - what is sustainable for the long term, brick by loving brick.

Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅⭐️❄️☃️💙

WELCOME TO CAPRICORN SEASON!
December 21, 2025 -- January 19, 2026

Take care of last minute holiday & winter preparations and ground into some fun! Cap is as earnest in life's fun & freedom as it is in life's hard work. The combination of both assures success because Caps don't do well taking orders. Giving them is more the job. Capricorn is the only zodiac sign that ends an old year & begins a new one. Our lives have been missing the earth element in the planetary line-ups for too long. The party crowd of planets in Sag now digs in to tie up the old & ready for the new. None could do it better than Capricorn! 🌞♑️🐐

WINTER SOLSTICE 2025
December 21, 2025 @ 10:03 AM

The Winter Solstice, also known as the festival of Yule, marks the first day of astronomical winter in the northern hemisphere. It brings us the least amount of daylight in a 24-hour period than any other day of the year, which results in the most hours of darkness: the shortest day & longest night. All that darkness, as we face the long winter, has given rise to many light festivals through diverse cultures. We see that in the traditions of Christians with Advent candles & sparkly lights adorning trees & homes. The Christmas tree is a Christian-borrowed, pagan custom as is the burning yule log. (Watching the yule log fireplace on tv was always a Christmas tradition in my house). Pagans of many traditions yet celebrate the same way, while also igniting herbs, & oil dressed candles to empower their intentions for brighter days. The lighting of the Chanukkah menorah candles represents the same idea of bringing the miracle of light into the long darkness. We have more in common at this time of year than we realize. And beneath all the roaring fires, the flickering candles & strung twinkle lights is the eternal message of the season of darkness: rest, turn inward, find the light that shines within & keep it tended, aflame while we await the infant Sun’s (or Son’s) maturation. We may have a long season ahead of us as we watch for signs of stirring new life, but hope is born anew as we turn the corner of the longest night & the daylight steadily increases thereafter in small increments each day.

Astrologically, the Winter Solstice marks the sun’s entry into the zodiacal sign of Capricorn. As the sun moves into this cardinal earth sign, we feel more grounded, & capable of taking care of business. A sense of responsibility & practicality sets in & we open our readiness to manage our lives in a more prudent & disciplined manner. We are preparing for the long haul through winter as well as the turning of another year & Capricorn calls upon our inner & outer resources to insure our continued thriving & a smooth transition. Capricorn helps us prepare for what may come by inspecting our foundations & structures, as well as putting maintenance protocols in place. Are there enough logs for the wood stove? Enough furnace oil in the tank? Are snow shovels at the ready? Is the ice melt container well stocked? Do the vehicles have anti-freeze & strong tires? These are some of the issues Capricorn needs to address in my neck of the woods here in the northeastern US. No other zodiacal sign’s influence could direct this process as well. This is the season Capricorn was born to kick off & the payoff from taking its lead is a jackpot: we all get to settle in for a long winter’s hibernation, inward focus & reflection, warmed by the inner glow of our own soul’s unwavering flame.

But first, may we celebrate the darkest night for all the stars it shows so brightly; celebrate the returning sunlight as it surely grows longer & stronger with each day forward; celebrate the heart’s stalwart light that glows without cease through it all. Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate that we made it through another year!

May our hearts & hearths be warm, our pantries be well stocked & our joy spread like wildfire!

Winter Solstice Blessings to all! ❄️☃️🌬🔥⭐️🌟✨

WHERE'S YOUR SAGITTARIUS?

Maybe you are blessed to have one of the Big Three - Sun, Moon, Ascendant - in Sagittarius. Maybe you have a personal planet there - Mercury, Venus or Mars. Or maybe like me you just have a Sag house with no planets placed there. Wherever it is, call upon your Sagittarius when you need to see the big picture, need to find your hope & optimism, when an adventure is at hand, when life has been too serious & you need some laughter, lightness & fun, or when your faith is hard to find....Live every moment, learn all there is to learn, and end the day with a thoroughly exhausted body, a full mind & a grateful heart. 🌞🌝♐️

SAGITTARIUS SEASON CRYSTALS & GEMS
As Sag Season comes to a close tomorrow, we need to talk about Sag crystals. The ones in the meme below are 3 top ones, but I would also include Blue Lace Agate for clear & uplifted communication; Snowflake Obsidian to expand the intuitive/psychic ability while offering purity of intention and alignment of the mind, body, and spirit; Smoky Quartz which grounds while also absorbing & transforming negative energies; Amethyst is always helpful to soothe an overactive mind, clarify beliefs & assist with addictive behaviors & compulsive patterns. Amethyst also serves to protect from harmful influences by opening awareness to the Light of Source. The Citrine, among its other qualities, is essential I think because it vibrates in harmony with the capacity for joy & optimism inherent in the sign of Sagittarius. 🌞
