On June 5, we gathered with some of the leading voices in neuroscience, oncology, biotechnology, and investment for the 2025 Brain Tumor Biotech Summit. 🧠🧬

With a mission to Innovate, Collaborate, Accelerate, the summit united researchers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore new pathways for developing life-saving therapies for patients with brain tumors and other central nervous system diseases.

We were honored to hear from keynote speakers Dr. David Baskin and Dr. Bryan Choi, as well as biotech entrepreneurs Dr. Ranjit Bindra and Umer Rafatt, each of whom brought valuable perspectives on the future of neuro-oncology and translational science.

This year’s Summit also marked a milestone: for the first time in its history, the event was free to all attendees thanks to the generosity of our sponsors , , Kiayatec, , Novocure, Gillen Surgical Company LLC, and the .

Graduation season is here and we’re celebrating three rising stars in research! Congratulations to Zoey Croft, Brianna Suffren, and Laura Mittelman on completing Lenox Hill Neurosurgery’s Jenna Chiavelli Clinical Research Fellowship. 🎓🎉

Named in memory of our beloved patient and glioblastoma warrior, Jenna Chiavelli, this one-year fellowship gave Zoey, Brianna, and Laura the opportunity to work directly with Dr. David Langer, Dr. John Boockvar, Dr. Randy D’Amico, and our Clinical Research Team on impactful departmental research.

A heartfelt thank you to Mark and Maryann Chiavelli for their continued support of this extraordinary program. We are honored to carry on Jenna’s legacy through education, research, and the next generation of clinician-scientists. Her memory continues to inspire everything we do. ❤️

This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to serve our country and protect our freedoms. Today, we also celebrate the leadership and dedication of our Northwell Neurosurgery colleague, Dr. .

Dr. Gilad is the Chair of Neurosurgery at and former Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. Her service as a staff neurosurgeon at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, exemplifies the spirit of courage, service, and dedication that Memorial Day represents.
