One of the things decades in plastic surgery teaches you is that no two faces are ever truly the same.
After more than 30,000 hours in the operating room, you begin to develop a deeper understanding of subtle details: how features work together, how small changes affect overall harmony, and how to create results that still look natural and individual to the patient.
And yes, while experience helps you recognize patterns in anatomy, healing, facial balance, and the way we age over time, great plastic surgery is never just about memorizing patterns or following formulas. There is an artistry to it, too.
That balance between science and artistry is part of what makes plastic surgery so fascinating to me after all these years.
Textbooks can teach surgical technique.
Experience teaches judgment, nuance, and restraint.
And in aesthetic surgery, those things matter just as much.
That's why people travel the country to be treated at our prestigious Upper East Side practice on Fifth Avenue. Two elite plastic surgeon artists. 🤍 🖌️
