Asking for help is often considered the first step toward recovery and healing, but how do we know when consumption - our own or another’s - has become problematic? Especially during the holidays, how do we approach the season mindfully?

With a wealth of personal recovery experience and professional expertise, SilverBell Global UAE Recovery Specialist Dana Ariss discussed this question and more on Helen Farmer’s podcast, Afternoons With Helen Farmer, with fellow guest Mark Samways of .

It is SilverBell Global’s distinct honor to be presenting the 2024 Lawyer of the Year – Family Law Award on Tuesday the 19th.

This award is especially meaningful to me: SilverBell Global’s genesis came from my early work with a family lawyer and forensic psychologist, helping families with young children navigate challenging legal proceedings.

In 2023, SBG collaborated with Spear’s on Mental Wealth & Wellbeing, Spear’s first-ever panel discussion on resonant strategies to create effective support for families.

Restful sleep is the daily foundation of my success.
When I’m well-rested, I can stay focused and engaged ~ able to reach a flow state where things come and go with ease.

Over time, I’ve come to see how deeply gut health, emotional sustenance and quality rest are connected. When I’m in a state of true rest, eating healthy food, and engaged in meaningful, safe conversations, I find a natural rhythm that fulfills and sustains me.

Sleep hygiene is something I value immensely—sleep is my ultimate reset. I look forward to winding down each night, and as an early-to-bed, early-to-rise person, a solid night’s sleep is essential for me to function at my best.

The stigma of addiction is evaporating in the warmth of the solidarity you are creating. Shame retreats further into the shadows as the joy of connection lights our paths forward.
