The Agency is fortunate to have a dedicated and diverse group of passionate leaders as our CPU Board of Directors.

For the past 6 years it has been led by Ross Levin overseeing our rebranding, a significant expansion of our services, and a more visible presence for CPU both within and outside the disability field. His commitment and guidance are outstanding contributions to our efforts.

On June 30, 2025, Mr. Levin will step down from his role as Board Chair and CPU will welcome John Vlachos as our new Chairman. Currently the head of the Audit, Compliance, and Risk Committee, Mr. Vlachos has served on the Board of Directors since 2019 and steps into this new role with the appreciation of the entire CPU community.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the appointment of board member Yvette Watts to Vice-Chair, a position currently held by Aaron Medeiros who will remain on the board and head of CPU’s Housing Committee.

This is an exciting, new era for CP Unlimited as we take on additional supports while growing our areas of operation. Our Board is key to this development, and we are inspired by their expertise and responsibility.

Please join us in welcoming John T. Vlachos and Yvette Watts to their new positions and in thanking Ross Levin for his many years of service.

Three years ago, CPU dedicated its training room in honor of our previous President & CEO Susan Constantino. Since then, we have trained many hundreds of new Direct Support Professionals, held graduation ceremonies and plenty of additional events, and just last night screened 'Tuck Everlasting' for our adult education participants in the space.

Open to seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and anyone else who uses a wheelchair, take advantage of our complimentary service by signing up today:

CP Unlimited frequently invites wheelchair users and their direct service providers and families to book an appointment for a free wheelchair cleaning and sanitizing to help maintain the functionality and mobility of their device.

More than 200 people came out to support CP Unlimited on June 18 for Support, Equip, Empower: A CPU Fundraiser and enhance our mission to help people with disabilities achieve fulfilling lives on Staten Island and beyond.

Held at The Old Bermuda Inn and honoring Dr. Matthew Kaufman, Assembly Member Sam Pirozzolo, and Dr. Cori Regan, this first-ever benefit event was an opportunity to highlight the work of change-makers in the Staten Island community and the impact of CP Unlimited while raising funds for the inspirational M.O.V.E. program at CPU’s Cora Hoffman Center. M.O.V.E. helps people with disabilities take their first steps and deepen their mobility and independence through specialized training and equipment.
