Even on the hardest days, when your body is tired and your spirit feels uncertain… you are not unheard.
“When I am in distress, I call to You, because You answer me.” – Psalm 86:7

To my lupus warriors: and all battling these invisible battles, your pain is seen, your prayers are heard, and your future is still held in His hands.
God is still working, still healing, still performing marvelous things, even here.

Hold on. You’re not walking this journey alone. 🙏

Psalm 86:7-10
When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.
Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.
For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.

If you’ve been dealing with inflammation, fatigue, bloating, brain fog, or skin issues… it may not be random.

A lot of what we feel in the body actually starts in the gut 🌿

Your gut affects:
🧠 Mood and mental clarity
⚡ Energy levels
🦠 Immune system response
🔥 Inflammation in the body
✨ Skin health and breakouts
🍽️ Digestion and bloating

When the gut is out of balance, the body can stay in a constant “reactive” state… and that’s where inflammation often shows up.

Some simple ways to support gut health:

🥬 Eat more fiber-rich foods (vegetables, chia, flax, oats)
🦠 Include probiotics (yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi)
💧 Stay hydrated daily
🚫 Reduce ultra-processed foods and excess sugar
😴 Prioritize sleep and stress management
🌿 Add soothing foods like ginger, bone broth, and cooked vegetables

Healing doesn’t have to be extreme—it’s about consistency and supporting your body daily.

Start with your gut, and so much else begins to shift 💚

🌿 Nervous system regulation (very important)

Chronic stress keeps inflammation active in the body.

* Deep breathing (even 5–10 minutes daily)
* Prayer, meditation, or quiet stillness
* Limiting overstimulation (constant scrolling, multitasking)
* Doing things that bring calm, not pressure

😴 Improve sleep quality

Your body repairs during sleep. Poor sleep increases inflammatory markers.

* Consistent sleep schedule
* Dark, cool room
* No screens 1 hour before bed
* Magnesium-rich foods or calming herbal teas at night

🚶‍♀️ Gentle movement daily

Not intense overtraining—consistent, gentle motion helps more long-term.

* Walking after meals
* Stretching or yoga
* Light strength training a few times a week

🧠 Gut health support

A lot of inflammation starts in the gut.

* Fiber-rich foods (vegetables, chia, flax, oats)
* Probiotics (yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi)
* Identify trigger foods if you notice bloating or flare-ups

🌞 Sunlight + vitamin D

Low vitamin D is linked to higher inflammation.

* 10–20 minutes of sunlight when possible
* Consider testing levels with a provider

🧴 Reduce toxin exposure

Small changes matter over time:

* Swap fragranced products for clean options
* Use glass instead of plastic when possible
* Choose simple ingredient skincare and cleaners

🧘‍♀️ Body-based therapies

* Massage or lymphatic drainage
* Epsom salt baths
* Dry brushing
* Red light therapy (if accessible)

🐟 Anti-inflammatory nutrients

* Omega-3s (fish, chia, flax, walnuts)
* Turmeric + black pepper
* Ginger, green tea, berries

💡 Key point: inflammation is rarely just one thing—it’s usually a combination of stress, gut health, sleep, and lifestyle load.

Natural juices can be a great way to help support the body and reduce inflammation 🌿✨

Some of my favorite anti-inflammatory juice combinations include:

🍋 Ginger + Lemon – supports digestion, nausea, and inflammation
🥕 Turmeric + Carrot – rich in antioxidants and helps support inflammatory balance
🍒 Tart Cherry – great for joint discomfort and muscle recovery
🫐 Berry Juice – packed with antioxidants to help fight inflammation
🍍 Pineapple + Ginger – contains bromelain, which may help with swelling
🥬 Green Juice – spinach, kale, cucumber, celery, and lemon for overall wellness support
❤️ Beet Juice – supports circulation and helps reduce oxidative stress

My simple daily inflammation juice recipe:

1 cucumber
2 carrots
1 lemon
1 inch ginger
1 inch turmeric
1 green apple (optional for sweetness)

Remember: keeping juices more veggie-based than fruit-based helps reduce excess sugar and supports better overall wellness.

Healing starts with the small daily choices we make 💚

My father, my mentor, my friend. You are the reason I stepped into holistic and alternative medicine just one week after you passed. In my hardest moments, when I feel like I can’t go on, it’s your strength that pushes me forward. You are the reason I chose to help others. Your legacy will live on forever, and your memory will never fade. I love you and miss you deeply. Dr. Jairo Casas, born in Bogotá, Colombia, dedicated his life to healing and compassion. After earning his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, he built a life of service in Staten Island, New York, practicing medicine for over 30 years in Brooklyn and Queens. A cherished figure in the Latino community, he also served on the Board of Directors at Elmhurst Hospital.

On April 18, 2020, Dr. Casas tragically passed away from COVID-19, a heartbreaking loss felt deeply by all who knew and loved him. Despite his vulnerability due to Lupus, he had returned to the frontlines during the pandemic, showing immense courage and unwavering dedication to his patients.

Beyond his career, Dr. Casas extended his generosity globally, organizing medical donations for disaster relief in Latin America. He shared his knowledge through social media, radio, and his advocacy for natural medicine.

Above all, Dr. Casas cherished being a father and grandfather. His five children and twelve grandchildren carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and community.

Today, we remember Dr. Jairo Casas—not only for the lives he touched and saved but for the warmth and wisdom he brought to everyone around him. His memory remains a source of inspiration, love, and pride for all who continue to honor his legacy.

Understanding Anemia: It’s More Than Just Low Iron 🌿

Anemia isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s why so many women stay stuck feeling exhausted, even after supplementing.

There are different types of anemia, and each one has a different root cause:

✨ Iron deficiency, often linked to heavy periods, low intake, or poor absorption
✨ B12 or folate deficiency, can affect energy, mood, and even nerve health
✨ Inflammation-related anemia, when the body “locks away” iron due to chronic stress or illness

The key isn’t just taking supplements, it’s understanding why your body is depleted.

I help you look deeper by assessing:
✔️ Your labs (iron, B12, thyroid, inflammation markers)
✔️ Your cycle + hormone patterns
✔️ Your gut health and absorption
✔️ Your daily nutrition and lifestyle

From there, we create a personalized plan to:
🌿 Rebuild your nutrient stores
🌿 Support healthy energy and hormones
🌿 Improve digestion and absorption
🌿 Reduce fatigue, brain fog, and burnout

If you’ve been told to “just take iron” but still don’t feel like yourself, there’s a reason.

You deserve answers, not guesswork. Book your session to start healing from the root 💫

✨ A Brief History of Natural Health

✨Did you know that natural healing has been around for thousands of years?

Long before modern medicine, people relied on what was naturally available, plants, herbs, and holistic practices to support their health and well-being.

🌿Ancient Roots
Natural medicine dates back over 2,000–5,000 years, with systems like Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda focusing on balance between mind, body, and spirit.

📜Early Healing Practices
From the Egyptian, Ebers Papyrus to Greek physicians like Hippocrates, healing was centered on the belief that:
👉 The body has the power to heal itself.

🌱Herbal Medicine
Many treatments were derived from plants and still are today! In fact, a large number of modern pharmaceuticals are based on natural compounds.

⚖️ The Shift to Modern Medicine
Over time, science introduced germ theory and pharmaceuticals, shifting focus away from natural approaches but never fully replacing them.

💫Where We Are Today
Natural health continues to play an important role in wellness, combining ancient wisdom with modern understanding.

✨ The truth is:
Everything we need for optimal health exists in or around us, we just need to know how to use it.

If you’re looking to support your body naturally, I’m here to guide you 🤍

As someone living with lupus, no two days ever look the same. I’ve learned to let go of stress, not overreact to every setback, and simply move with life as it comes. There will always be good days and difficult ones, and the key is learning how to manage both.

Today happens to be one of the tougher days. I woke up with a nosebleed, large bruises, a swollen mouth that makes it hard to chew, and a lot of body pain. Am I surprised? Of course not, this is part of living with lupus. My body reacts differently depending on the week, and I’ve come to understand that.

So this weekend will be a slow one for me, giving my body the time it needs to rest and recover. I’m hopeful this flare will pass soon. In the meantime, I’ll still be working on sharing meaningful content, because spreading knowledge and experiences can truly help someone else who may be going through the same thing.

Ladies, these are all the pieces we find ourselves questioning every day 🤍
(especially when moving through the different stages of menopause)

Some days it may feel confusing, like everything is up in the air…
but each piece is part of your body’s natural transition 🌿

🌿 Understanding the Stages of Menopause!

Your body moves through season and this is one of them 🤍

✔️Premature & Early Menopause (late 30s–early 40s)
For some women, this transition begins earlier. This can happen naturally or as a result of surgery or medical treatments.

✔️Perimenopause (early 40s)
This is the gentle shift inward. Hormones begin to fluctuate, cycles may change, and your body starts preparing for its next phase.

✔️Menopause (mid to late 40s)
Reached after 12 months without a cycle. Ovulation has come to a close, marking a powerful biological transition.

✔️Postmenopause (50s and beyond)
A new chapter. While some symptoms may linger, this is a time to nourish your body deeply and support long-term health.

✨ This is not an ending, it’s an evolution

Your body is asking for deeper care, nourishment, and support.
