I used to despise running for the sake of running. It held me back in sports because it was too much running during practices and I quit sports teams because of this.
I am a believer in confronting the things that hold you back from reaching your full potential- running was this for me.
I started slow with 5ks, then half marathons and now my first ever full marathon.
Running has helped me learn to sit with discomfort, push my limits and be kind to myself- because some days are better than others.
Donβt be afraid to do the things you initially dislike, especially when they interfere with your goals. When you learn to sit with discomfort you empower yourself and the sky is the limit!
