We’re starting off 2026 with two amazing new tools that can help our patients get better, faster!

1️⃣ Shockwave therapy uses high-energy pressure waves delivered into soft tissue to help reduce pain, improve circulation, and support healing where traditional manual therapy can’t reach.

2️⃣ The ForceDecks system is a portable dual force plate solution that provides real-time, objective data on strength, power, balance, and movement across jumps, squats, and isometric tests.

Bruises tell a story — and these marks mean the brace is doing its job! 💪💙

When a scoliosis brace leaves an imprint, it’s a sign of purposeful, corrective pressure guiding the spine toward better alignment. These marks represent commitment, consistency, and strength on the journey to long-term spinal health. We’re proud of the hard work happening here!

Why it Works Wednesday

When pain is present, your physical therapist observes how everyday movements affect symptoms. Adjusting how tasks are done may help some people move with less discomfort during recovery.
✅ Tip: Movement strategies are based on symptoms, not rigid rules.

Thursday Therapy Thoughts

It’s easy to assume that whatever shows up on an MRI must be the reason you hurt, but research shows many spine findings like disc bulges and degeneration are very common in people with no symptoms at all, which is why imaging works best when combined with your symptoms and a physical exam. A physical therapist can help guide you. Source: Systematic review, Spine journal (Brinjikji et al., 2015).
