Dr. Anuja Mathew- DPT, MsPT, OCS
Anuja is a board-certified and licensed Physical Therapist in New York and New Jersey with over 15 years of clinical experience. She specializes in Orthopedic rehabilitation and has developed a strong niche in Women’s Pelvic Floor Health.
Dr. Mathew earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh and went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Touro College, New York. She is recognized as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS)—a distinction earned by only 8% of physical therapists nationwide, requiring rigorous training, clinical excellence, and demonstrated expertise in the field.
She is a dedicated member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and follows an evidence-based approach to patient care. Dr. Mathew is certified in several advanced manual therapy techniques, including Graston Technique®, McKenzie Method®, Functional Mobilization (FM1), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF1), and Pelvic Girdle Puzzle (PGP) from the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). She also holds a Pelvic Floor Level 1 and 2B certification from the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, highlighting her commitment to advancing care for women’s pelvic health.
Throughout her career, she has passionately treated patients with a wide range of orthopedic and women’s health conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, tendonitis, arthritis, lumbar and cervical spine pain, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, p***c symphysis dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, and pre- and post-natal rehabilitation.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Mathew is also a trained Indian classical dancer and enjoys running, traveling, and exploring different cultures and histories in her free time.
