𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸!

“Excellent gym! Trainers are top notch. I have been with these trainers for a few years and never thought I could run a 5k and as of today I have run 5 marathons in 4 years and numerous 1/2’s. All thanks to the trainers at the Trinity who believed in one step at a time and anything is achievable!”

Today and each Saturday for the month of August I am going to share with you a Member Win of the Week at . They can be a big win or something small

This week’s win comes from Linda. Linda is a lady who manages to balance having a very a busy house and job. She started with us in 2019 coming one time per week. A month later she increased it to two sessions and then to three. She has since set bigger goals crushing 5K’s, 10K’s and has amazingly completed the New York City Marathon multiple times 💪

Are you injured or are you sore?

I had a conversation this week with someone this week about injuries. They have one at the moment and it’s a pain (literally!).

It came from playing a sport he hadn’t played in a long time. Kind of like a newbie going to the gym and feeling pain afterwards.

But just because he has pain doesn’t mean it’s a reason for him to stop exercising. Instead he has just changed the type of exercise he does so it doesn’t affect his injury.

We need to talk about the modern advice floating around out there…
“If you’re sore, rest.”
“If you’re tired, cancel.”

Listen, we’re all for listening to your body — but not when your body is acting like a drama queen.

Soreness is not a reason to stop. It can be a sign that your muscles are learning.

The goal of working out isn’t to never feel sore.

It’s not to avoid every ache.

It’s to get stronger, more capable, and more resilient — mentally and physically.

And sometimes, that comes with a little soreness.

Not pain, not injury. But soreness — the kind that says,
“Hey, you did something new. I’m adapting.”

Too many beginners hit their first tough week — a tight muscle here, a bit of DOMS there — and they pull back. Skip sessions. Disappear for a week. Wait until they “feel 100% again.”

The truth? You might never feel 100% when you’re growing.

Progress lives in the space after the excuses.

That’s where consistency kicks in. That’s where the real changes happen.

So next time you feel a little stiff or sore — come in anyway.

We’ll modify if needed, but staying in motion is key to recovery and momentum.

You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to keep showing up.

•           Soreness = normal
•           Pain = worth checking
•           Excuses = not invited

This Tuesday and every Tuesday for the month of August in an effort to get to know your coaches better I am going to share with you a spotlight of various things about me

This weeks story is how I went from working as a Bartender and in Finance in New York to packing them both in to be a Fitness Trainer. I am very lucky to say that I love what I do. There is no better feeling than having someone say thank you for having a small hand n them getting to their goals or becoming a happier healthier version of themselves 😊

𝟱 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿

At the start of this year I set a goal to learn to swim properly. I had tried to learn before but never kept with it. My motivation lasted a few weeks and then I trailed off. This time I wanted it to be different so I made two changes that had a huge difference

1. I got myself a Coach
2. I set myself a time dependent swimming goal

To help Community, today I am going to share with you 5 of the biggest lessons I learned through the process, hope some of it resonates with you!

This week’s win comes from Yael

Yael is a lady who manages to balance having a family, a busy job, extra education this year with her job and still manages to crush it EVERY week in the gym 💪

“I always leave feeling accomplished, stronger, happier and healthier”

Thank you Yael for the kind words 😊🙏

Recently I got asked what the most difficult exercise is to do …

Do you know what it is?

It’s not the push-up.
It’s not the pull-up.
It’s not even the sit-up.

It’s the show up.

That’s the one most people skip. Not because it’s complicated—because it’s uncomfortable. It means getting out of bed when it’s warm, walking through the gym doors when you’re nervous, and starting before you feel “ready.”
But here’s the truth every beginner needs to hear:

1. Showing up is 90% of the work.
If you walk in, you win. We’ll guide you through the rest.

2. No one is watching you.
Everyone else is focused on their own workout, just like you will be soon.

3. It gets easier.
Not just the exercises—the routine, the rhythm, the self-talk.

With each “show up,” you start building momentum.

And momentum changes everything.

This week’s win comes from Charlotte and is a prime example of someone who has made health and fitness a part of her lifestyle

Charlotte was away on vacation for 1 full month and returned yesterday to her 1st exercise session back. She was nervous and her mind was trying to talk herself out of going but she held strong and didn’t let that stop her.

After literally 1 exercise session back she
1. Felt great!
2. Made her feel fresh to take on her day
3. Set her mind in the right direction

Thank you Charlotte for the lovely message you are fantastic!

“From a small seed a mighty trunk can grow”

On this day 3 years ago ……

Monday February 8th of 2021 we started with an Outdoor Exercise Program in below freezing conditions in a park in Long Island City New York.

brought his tractor which got stuck trying to push all the snow away, lost the tips of 3 fingers from frostbite, who loves the cold said she would only come if the session was outdoors and and got lost and arrived to class by following a shining bright star in the sky each bringing a gift of gold frankincense and myrrh

It was not the most ideal conditions to get started but get started it did and our group worked toward a common goal of exercising, feeling better and meeting new people during what was a very bleak time

Fast forward 3 years and we have just opened our permanent home. This could not have happened but for those 8 people who showed up the 1st night and the community that has grown since then

To celebrate this milestone we have a special announcement for you all coming this Monday, so stay tuned 😉

Remember that the most important thing with anything is to just start. There will never be a perfect time, the lights will never always be green. Take Action today, then keep on taking consistent action until you get to your destination.

“Building a community who encourage and motivate one another to live their healthiest happiest and best life ........

Clann Health derives its name Irish language and translates directly to mean “family” or “tribe”. Our purpose is to build a tribe to live life to the to its fullest through health, fitness and adventure!!!

We provide BeSpoke Personal and Group style training in New York City and take our people on Adventure Trips and Active Vacations to Upstate New York and Abroad to the West of Ireland. Exercise and outdoor adventure are a great way of connecting people together, and physical activities are some of the best ways to generate life lasting memories.

Clann Health is more than just a Health Club. A big part of our mission is in giving back and helping others. We regularly take part in team adventure races and fundraise for worthy causes where everyone comes and works together to be a part of something bigger!

What separates the Clann Health from others is its culture. Although Clann Health encompasses signature warmups, speed training, strength training, endurance training, flexibility work and nutrition all based on a comprehensive evaluation process, the most important component of the system is its motivational approach and family environment. We know if you don’t have fun and enjoy the training, you won’t do it.
