Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to facilitate a workshop entitled Understanding and Addressing Burnout for TakeRoot Justice, a consortium of non-profit organizations that provide legal assistance and advocacy for some of the most marginalized and oppressed people in NYC. Burnout is a problem in many fields, but nonprofit professionals are at even higher risk of burnout. Staff from a few of the different organizations came together to learn more about what causes burnout and what to do to address it, individually and organizationally. I was happy to have the chance to provide some helpful information. Post-workshop conversation and evaluation data showed it was well received. One of the organizations has even contacted me about potentially facilitating another workshop during their retreat this fall. So thankful.
This was my first in-person workshop for CL2 Mental Health Services. My first in-person workshop as an independent mental health consultant. I’ve delivered many workshops for the various organizations I’ve worked for, but this one was for my own business! Grateful for that opportunity. Grateful to have had my family there with me. Thankful for my wife for her love and support. Grateful for Morrison my motivation. Hopefully, this is the first of many workshops as I continue to grow my brand, my business, and my ability to help people the way that I can and the way that I want to. Continued growth. Onward and upward.
