On a inspiring panel, Dr. Susan Coller Monarez, Ph.D., Deputy Director, ARPA-H, spoke about how Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) was formed to make groundbreaking advancements and innovative solutions in healthcare in gaps not currently being addressed. One of the key focuses, as for Biotia, is on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in their program.

Over the weekend, our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Dorottya Nagy Szakal MD PhD presented at IDWeekmtg in Boston, the largest scientific and educational clinical infectious disease platform, on the "Utilization of Clinical-Grade Metagenomics in Urinary Tract Infection Diagnostics: Improving High-Risk Patients’ Outcomes with a Genomic-Based Assay". Shout out to our clinical collaborators at SUNY Downstate Michael Augenbraun, Anna Plourde, MD, MPH; and Mara Couto-Rodriguez, our Director of R&D, who also helped bring this poster to life.
