Winter can really irritate the skin, especially if you suffer from rosacea. Here are some of my tips to keep those flare-ups at bay!

➕Remember Sunscreen
Sun exposure is the number one trigger for rosacea. During winter months people are more likely to skip the sunscreen, but whenever you head out you should always have your SPF on.

➕Avoid Hot Drinks
Hot drinks can flare up your rosacea and flush your face. If it’s too hot to make you feel overheated, then it’s too warm and you may want to seek out an iced coffee instead.

➕Bathe Sensibly
Don’t take excessively hot showers or overly exfoliate the skin. Your skin still needs its natural oils and this can really strip and irritate your skin.

➕Moisturize
As your skin becomes drier, it also becomes more irritated and can lead to a rosacea flare up. Use an unscented moisturizer that contains SPF to cover your bases!

➕Humidify & Hydrate
A humidifier will work to replenish moisture in the air and reduce skin dryness.

We are only 12 days out from Valentine’s Day, so I thought it appropriate to showcase a Restylane Kysse transformation! 💉

This patient wanted a subtle plump and symmetry correction. I utilized a little Restylane Kysse to help her achieve her goals. Keep in mind that full results are not seen until about 14 days after your treatment, which is when any swelling or slight bruising can occur.
