We are not separate from nature, we ARE nature πŸ’š happy earth day loves πŸ’š remember that you can always resort to nature to ground your energy, de-stress, and surrender to the ebbs and flows of life. sometimes it feels like rough tides where we fight to stay afloat while other days feel like a warm blanket of sunshine on your skin. remember that the elements (wind, air, water, fire), animals, trees, flowers, & all that is alive and breathing just as you are in this moment has something to teach us. there is great learning when we come back to nature, to ourselves, and breathe into the beautiful world around us.

sometimes we have to hit pause to enjoy a cup of tea & be in our senses // next time you are drinking your cup, try to sit up straight with your spine long and feet planted on the floor // shoulders away from ears and hands around your mug // begin to notice the different senses you are engaging by mindfully choosing to take the time to make and enjoy your tea:

βœ‹πŸΌthe warmth in your hands
πŸ‘‚πŸΌthe sounds around you
πŸ‘… the taste of your drink
πŸ‘ the appearance of the water, leaves, and color of your drink

by becoming aware of our senses, we choose an intentional practice of presence // to be present in each little action we do, our senses can awaken our sacral chakra // doing this can re-balance our minds & feelings especially in times of being overworked, anxious, & stressed.

Just a quick share of 3 affirmations I’ve written for each of the 7 main chakras. Read a few, and see if any uncomfortable feelings or thoughts arise. When we recognize our discomfort, we shine light on a narrative we may have created about ourselves. This narrative may be the voices in our heads that say that you are not safe where we are, that you must break your boundaries of self love and care for the benefit of others, or that we are not allowed to feel or express negative emotions because saving face is more important to our colleagues and friends. The narratives we have created for ourselves can come from many places, including the darkness of our own minds, societal expectations, and family trauma. However, when we use affirmations we are able to clarify that we are flexible, moral, and beings of growth and change. When we recognize this we use our inner voice to remind us that we CAN create a more peaceful, loving, and joyful life through this self-awareness. Read and write through your own list of affirmations to change that story!

A message today that I often share with my clients and often need to remind myself of.
Your energy is best spent on YOU. Life will always come with a baggage of crap that makes us hurt, cry, hold burden, and feel like we are spiraling out of control. People, friends, family, strangers will make us feel that way too.

However, precisely what is written below, we can choose to react or not react, to engage or not engage, to respond with love and kindness, or to stand our ground. We decide how we channel our energy and how we respond to things outside of our control. We can simply surrender and say β€œYes to whatever comes” because it is here. So in this way we can slowly learn to say β€œI choose to do what I can on my own, to help myself breathe a little easier while all this is in front of me.”
