I was recently interviewed by Repertoire Magazine about psoriasis, a condition that affects over 8 million people in the U.S. While many think of it as just a skin issue, it’s actually a systemic immune disease that can affect whole-body health.

With new biologic treatments, systemic therapies, and lifestyle approaches, people living with psoriasis today have more tools than ever to manage their symptoms and improve quality of life.

Raising awareness and reducing stigma remains crucial, no one should face this alone.

July is UV Safety Awareness Month - a time to raise awareness about the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) rays and the importance of protecting your skin.

Whether it’s sunny, cloudy, or somewhere in between, UV radiation can damage your skin year-round. This month is a great reminder to make sun safety part of your daily routine!

Did you know that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime? The good news: most skin cancers are highly preventable & treatable when caught early!

That’s why the AAD Member, American Academy of Dermatology reminds us to always when we’re outside. A few simple habits can make a big difference:

✅ Wear sunscreen daily (SPF 30 or higher)
🧢 Rock a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses
🌳 Stick to the shade, especially midday
👕 Cover up with protective clothing
🕶 Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours (or after swimming/sweating)

Protect your skin now to reduce your risk of skin cancer and premature aging down the road. Your future self will thank you! 💛

Dr. Robinson is amazing!
I was told that I needed Mohs surgery For a cancer grow on my nose.
Mohs surgery is very invasive and I called Dr. Robinson who has a new procedure involving the laser removal of basal cell carcinoma
It took maybe 10 minutes, was painless, and the result was fabulous.
But that is just typical for the way Dr. Robinson treats his patients
I highly highly recommend him

Patient Testimonial:

🌟 BREAKTHROUGH SKIN CANCER TREATMENT 🌟

We’re excited to share our exclusive, peer-reviewed research on a groundbreaking non-invasive treatment for basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

In this video, Dr. Robinson talks with a 49-year-old patient from North Carolina who came to us after being diagnosed with a nodular basal cell carcinoma on her chin.

Originally biopsied by her dermatologist in April 2025, MOHS surgery was recommended—but she wanted an effective alternative without surgical excision or scarring.

💡 Hear about her experience treating her basal cell carcinoma combining fractional laser technology with tirbanibulin ointment for amazing results.➡️ https://youtu.be/TYnaUqFbOZ8

We’re proud to be leading the way in innovative, patient-centered skin cancer care.

Lately, you may have seen more posts on social media about using fractional CO2 lasers to treat skin cancer. While this is exciting progress, we want to share how what we’re doing is different!

In our practice, we are currently conducting an ongoing study using a fractionated laser combined with topical Skyrizi cream for the non-invasive treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers.

Here’s the difference:

Fractional CO2 lasers use a carbon dioxide beam to create deeper micro-injuries in the skin, which often leads to longer recovery times and more discomfort.

Our fractionated laser approach is gentler, causing minimal downtime while still stimulating the body’s natural healing process — and, when paired with Skyrizi, it targets cancer cells even more effectively.

This innovative treatment could offer patients a safer, easier alternative to surgery or aggressive laser therapies. We are excited to be at the forefront of this research!

If you are interested in learning more about the FRAXEL® Laser as a preventative measure against non-melanoma skin cancer(s) please call our office @ 1.212.750-7121 or request a consultation today here: https://brucerobinsonmd.com/appointment/.

All patients receive personalized attention and always see a board-certified dermatologist, not a PA or Nurse Practitioner.
