One of my followers sent this to me and I wanted to pass these wise words along. I truly believe we find happiness, contentment, grounding in growth. When we process and learn to let go of trauma we leave space in our bodies and minds for expansion. It is in these moments where we evolve. This has been an important lesson for me this year around my miscarriage and one that I continue to struggle with. One step at a time. 🦋❤️

Celebrating all the incredible women in my life who gave me the strength to share my story. But mostly to my mom who is the strongest woman I know. Countless miscarriages, and ectopic pregnancies did not stop her from creating the family she always wanted. Two adoptees and one bio child ❤️ Mom, you are my inspiration. I love you.

Repost from

“When I bought a home in Woodstock in late 2020, not far from where Casey also happened to live, mutual friends put us in touch again. He came over to catch up with a dinner that lasted well into the night. We were pretty inseparable after that. Not long after, I took the test, and Casey, a photojournalist, started taking pictures.” Casey never put the camera down and documented the turbulent weeks that followed. Head to the link in our bio to read, “My Miscarriage, in Photos.”

Repost from

Multi tasking, rushing and general busy-ness can take a cumulative toll on our nervous systems.

It can take a lot of intentional grounding activities to shift out of the arousal states that accompany these ways of being.

Slowing down may feel unsafe. It’s ok to start small. Even mini moments of slowing down and checking in can be impactful. ❤️✨❤️

Debunking Myths About Therapy:
#1 - Therapists have all the answers and you should too. Nope! We don’t. Despite years of school, countless trainings, and after reading hundreds of books, a clinical social worker or psychologist will not and could not possibly have all of the answers. What fun is that? I know, it would be cool if we could see into the future a few years and get all the answers to clients' problems, but alas, we all have to take it one day at a time and address issues as they arise. Therapist and client are on this road, navigating the twists and turns together. I will never tell you what you should do, or make you do things (despite my clients wanting me to sometimes!). 🔮😀❤️

Let it go...When the world is overwhelming we all have a tendency to hold onto the stress and anxiety of things we have no control over.

First , acknowledge the feeling that is arising; fear, sadness, anger, frustration.
Second, Let it go. Release it into the universe and watch it float away.
Repeat.

Give yourself the space to feel, and then give yourself the gift of letting go. 🌟☮️❤️

I’ve heard therapists referred to as quacks, head-shrinkers, or brainwashers, but lo and behold, we are not witches, wizards or oracles with infinite powers. Well, maybe a few of us are witchy in a Stevie Nicks kind of way, but we won't cast spells on you, and we cannot read your mind. Mental health therapy isn't magic. It's actually a pretty common practice that can help people process their thoughts, emotions, and issues with a professional.

If you've been struggling with depression, anxiety or loneliness, reach out. Start strong this new year. Reach out!

You could go about your life - both at home and at work - accomplishing all that needs to be done, while suffering silently from extreme stress and feelings of inadequacy and anxiousness.
✨
Individuals suffering from high-functioning anxiety go above and beyond what is required, often exceeding expectations, and don't always share their true feelings or divulge their anxiety symptoms.
