I have lived experience with and continue to engage in my own therapeutic healing surrounding trauma, abuse, s*x work, my own gender and s*xual identities, and the loss of my brother. I have experienced the benefits of therapy myself, which Is why I am so passionate about giving back.
I have extensive experience working with q***r and straight clients, couples, and groups surrounding exploring s*xuality gender, kinks, consensual non-monogamy, and polyamory. I also have experience providing clinical documentation in support for gender affirming care for transgender and gender expansive individuals. I am a proud cancer survivor and I have two tuxedo cats: Apollo & Orion.
People tell me that I am passionate, emphatic, friendly, and a sarcastic wanna-be-comedian. I am an open book and am committed to life-long learning. I love to travel, go to museums or the theatre, try new restaurants, and drink wine.

INTRODUCTION SERIES PART 3:
Education: I graduated from Point Park University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology where I completed a research study on the ongoing coming out process of q***r men. I also completed a dual masters degree: Masters of the Arts in Psychological Counseling and a Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, where I took extensive course work and assisted with research initiatives surrounding q***r and gender expansive microaggressions & mental health concerns through the lens of Minority Stress Theory.
Training: I completed a clinical internship at Mount Sinai West - The Addictions Institute of New York working primarily with the Crystal Clear Project that assisted q***r and TGNC clients with crystal methamphetamine dependence as well as additional mental health conditions. In this role I provided individual and group therapy. I also completed a semester long placement at the Dean Hope Counseling Center at Teachers College, Columbia University where I provided short-term counseling services.
Work Experience: I started My career working with clients who have mental health, medical, and substance use Issues at a substance use treatment program in the South Bronx through Montefiore Medical Center. I have worked at a q***r affirmative group private practice Where I provided individual, couples, and group therapy. In this position, I was also a Clinical Supervisor to both interns and pre-licensed clinicians. This lead me to start My own private practice for therapy, coaching, supervision, guest speaking, and consultation services. I have been slowly building a Q-lective (q***r collective) of q***r and gender expansive clinicians. I am an adjunct professor at both New York University and Teachers College, Columbia University teaching mental health counseling masters students. I also provide business consulting services, trainings, workshops, and article writing too.

My approach: I have had the privilege of working in and amongst diverse populations, which has reframed my approach to therapy in order to ensure that it is more adaptable, accessible, and demystified. Therapy for too long has been a space that perpetuates the harmful ideologies in psychology that are rooted in whiteness, capitalism, and dehumanization. Therefore, I draw upon q***r, intersectional feminist, multicultural, humanistic, decolonized, s*x/body positive, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive theories to foster an equitable and collaborative relationship. Listening, validation, curiosity, challenging, and accountability are important features of my approach to my work with my clients. Together with me, you'll collaborate to (re)claim your authentic self through a process of creativity, playfulness, compassion, somatic/imagination exercises, and critical reflection. Honesty, transparency, and authenticity are important traits I bring into therapy. If you’re looking for a therapist to actively engage and hold you accountable to achieving your goals, then reach out to me today!
