The City is alerting New Yorkers: with scorching temperatures on the horizon, here’s how to stay safe and cool:

🌡️ Utilize citywide cooling centers, your pets are welcome too! Find one near you https://finder.nyc.gov/coolingcenters/
🌳 New York City Parks’ Cool It! NYC map can help New Yorkers find places near them to hydrate, refresh, and stay in the shade from NYC Parks. https://www.nycgovparks.org/about/health-and-safety-guide/cool-it-nyc
💧 Stay hydrated, wear light clothes, and avoid outdoor exercise mid-day.
🏊‍♂️ Seek respite in air-conditioned spots: cooling centers, libraries, movie theaters, or spray showers.
🐾 Don’t forget your pets—walk them early/late, and offer plenty of water.
🚑 Watch for warning signs of heat illness (like rapid heartbeat, dizziness)—call 911 if needed.
